The inaugural New Faces Symposium highlighted eleven outstanding investigators within four years of their first appointment at the University of Utah. Their presentations covered a wide range of exciting and innovative research from across the School of Medicine. This symposium was hosted by the Spencer Fox Eccles School of Medicine Research Advisory Council.

Dr. Bernardo Modenesi, PhD, from the Department of Population Health Sciences was included in this symposium. He presented on Extracting insights from data: the intersection of causal inference and machine learning. A recording of his presentation is available online.
